Once upon a time
A young boy was playing outside and he mistakenly killed his mother’s chicken, he was too scared to tell his mother so he threw the chicken away. But his sister saw him, and she promised she was going to tell their Mom, the young boy begged his sister and they came to an agreement, he was going to do her house chores for as long as she wants.
After doing his sister’s chores for weeks, he got tired and decided to tell his Mom.
Young boy: Mom, I have a confession to make
Mom: I was wondering when you’d come to me.
You didn’t know I saw you when you killed the chicken, I was watching through the window.
You probably think, ‘John knows I’m a thief, Jane knew when I had an abortion, Sandra knows I slept with Mr A, Jude knows I do drugs’
Hey! The scribes and Pharisees knew about the adulterous woman as a matter of fact they caught her in the act (John8)
What they didn’t know was, Jesus also knew.
Jesus asked that the person without sin should cast the first stone and nobody did.
Here’s the best part, John 8:10-11 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
I need you to know that God sees and knows everything. You are not hiding from Him, you’re keeping yourself in bondage.
John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
