Frank Ugochukwu Edwards (born 22 July 1990), also known as FrankRichboy, is one of Nigeria’s most influential and popular contemporary gospel musicians.
His talents, vocals, and ability to ‘turn on the dance floor’ with gospel music while minister to souls have made Christain followers describe him as God’s blessing.
The Christ Embassy-inspired singer is famous for his hit singles Mma Mma, Omema o, You Too De Bless Me, and so on.
He is also the founder of the record label “Rock Town” and has a dozen gospel albums to his name.
Early Life
With the original birth name Frank Ugochukwu Edwards, Frank Edwards came to be on 22 July 1989 in Enugu State, Southeastern Nigeria.
He was born into a Christain family of seven. He has five siblings whose identities are unknown to the media.
He grew up in a low-income family who struggled to make ends meet.
Frank Edwards and his siblings had to assist their mother after school to cook and hawk Opka (a popular Igbo dish) in the streets of Enugu.
Frank Edwards learned how to play the piano from his father when he was a boy singing in the church choir, and at the age of ten, he became almost perfect with the piano keys.
His mother was impressed with his progress which inspired her to withdraw from her savings to buy some musical instruments to boost his instrumental know-how.
Even with his talent and love for music, Frank Edwards never dreamt of becoming a musician.
Instead, he had always wanted to become a pilot for one of the biggest airlines in the country.
However, his attention and focus on becoming a pilot were shifted by a popular Nigerian pastor and founder of Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome.
They nurtured his talents and turned him into one of the greatest musicians of all time.

He started playing the piano at the age of seven. He discovered his singing ability while working with soon-to-be-famous gospel singer Sinach, who also is a member of Christ Embassy’s choir group. While singing in the choir, he took the liberty of learning how to mix music and control music systems effectively.

Frank Edwards is still single. However, he’s been linked to a serious relationship with Pastor Chris’ daughter Sharon Oyakhilome. The duo has been seen together on several occasions. However, they are yet to confirm or refute the rumored relationship.
Before then, he had dated a 19-year-old lady simply known as Chisom and broke up in 2012 for undisclosed reasons.
According to sources, the failed relationship could result from the backlash Frank got from his fans for dating a very young girl.
