The Black Shark 4 Pro is becoming available internationally nearly a year after it became official release. It joins the vanilla model, which has been available since last May, but the S version of the Pro isn’t coming yet.
That means the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset (the 4S Pro had the 888+). Two configurations are available – 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB (the 16/512 GB capacity remains exclusive to China). Out of the box it will run JOYUI 12.5, which is based on MIUI 12.5.
The global Black Shark 4 Pro will support the full 120W charging speed as the Chinese version. Previously we’ve seen international versions of gaming phones charge notably slower than their Chinese counterparts.
The 4 Pro starts at $580 and is available in Shadow Black, Misty Grey and Cosmos Black. Below you can see a more detailed breakdown of the pricing for the two memory capacities.

The Black Shark 4 Pro was recommended in our Best Gaming Phones buyer’s guide, but has since been replaced by the 4S Pro model. That too will probably be replaced soon as the 5th generation seems almost ready for launch. The new series will probably still use the 888+ chip, however.
