Ranking the Premier League squad values for the 2022/2023 campaign, Manchester City leads the list, having a squad worth €959.30m, according to Transfermarkt.
The English league has come a long way and has continued to attract the highest level of investment. An exciting aspect of the league, more than half of the teams are worth more than €352.00m.

1. Manchester City – €959.30m
Manchester City has the highest squad value in the English Premier League, valued at €959.30m. Backed by City Football Group, the Cityzens have spent heavily in the market since the 2012/12 season, winning five titles in the last ten seasons.
Man City has one of the most valuable squads in European football. From Kevin De Bruyne to Gabriel Jesus, the Cityzens have a squad depth in the English top flight.
Jack Grealish joined Man City for €117.50m, a British transfer record.
Man City also signed Julián Álvarez from River Plate for a reported fee of €17.00m
2. Liverpool – €900.50m
Liverpool FC is the second EPL team with the highest squad value. The Reds are among the top title contenders in the league, along with Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
This season, Liverpool has made a couple of impressive signings that have proved beneficial to the team.
Luis Díaz joined the Reds from FC Porto for a reported fee of €45.00m.
In the Bundesliga, Ibrahima Konaté also became a part of the Reds after a reported cost of €40.00m was paid to RB Leipzig.
Liverpool’s most valuable players and their values are Mohamed Salah €100.00m, Sadio Mané, €80.00m, Alisson, €60.00m.
3. Chelsea FC – €852.00m
Chelsea FC was the most successful team in the 2020/2021 football season in Europe. The London blues won the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
Romelu Lukaku was brought to Chelsea to boost the squad. The Belgian joined the six-time league winners for €113.00m from Inter Milan.
Some of the top Chelsea players with a high value are Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Reece James and N’Golo Kanté.
4. Manchester United – €852.00m
A long walk through the streets of Manchester, United is one of the most decorated in the English league. Although the club has spent heavily in the market without much success, there are high expectations of a turnaround.
Man United made three significant signings which include Jadon Sancho worth €85.00m from Borussia Dortmund, centre back Raphaël Varane from Real Madrid at €40.00m and former player Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus for €15.00m.
Man United’s net spending in the market is one of the highest, along with Manchester City, Liverpool FC and Chelsea.
At the top of United’s squad are world-class players like Bruno Fernandes, whose market value is €90.00m. Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, and Alex Telles complete Manchester United with highly-rated players.
5. Tottenham Hotspur – €587.25m
Tottenham Hotspur has gone through a rebuilding series since the long-standing Mauricio Pochettino was axed from the club. Spurs owners of the ENIC Group, worth £1.67 billion, have backed the club’s dealings in the market.
Antonio Conte, who is said to be a long term project, is expected to be offered more money ahead of 2022/2023.
Spurs made some impressive signings for the 2021/22 season. The list of signings is Bryan Gil €25.00m, Emerson Royal €25.00m, Rodrigo Bentancur €19.00m, Pape Sarr €16.90m and Dejan Kulusevski on loan from Juventus.
Tottenham Hotspur’s most valuable players in 2021/22 include Harry Kane (€100.00m), Heung-min Son (€80.00m), Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (€40.00m) and Cristian Romero €40.00m.
6. Arsenal FC – €521.00m
Arsenal has one of the youngest squads in the Premier League, with an average age of 21. The club has the sixth most valuable squad in the league, worth €521.00m.
Arsenal signed seven players in the 2021/22 season, including four defenders, two midfielders and a goalkeeper. The most notable signing made by the Gunners was Ben White, who joined Brighton & Hove Albion for €58.50m.
This season, Arsenal has been impressive despite starting slowly. The Gunners leapt from the bottom half of the league table to European places.
7. Leicester City – €514.80m
Leicester City has the seventh most expensive Premier League squad in 2022, worth €514.80m. Although the Foxes haven’t made significant signings lately, its squad depth has been average.
Last season, Leicester looked set for a Premier League revolution and possible replication of the 2015/16 shock due to Brendan Rodgers’s ability to succeed with the current crop of players effectively.
For the 2021/22 campaign, Leicester brought highly-rated Zambian forward Patson Daka for €30.00m from RB Salzburg. The Foxes also brought Boubakary Soumaré and Jannik Vestergaard from Lille and Southampton, respectively.
8. Everton FC – €447.75m
Everton FC has one of the highest net spends among the Premier League big sides in the last five seasons, which hasn’t made much progress.
For 2021/22, Everton started on a bright note but had to struggle to maintain their future in the Premier League.
In the market, the Toffees bought Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv for €23.50m.
Nathan Patterson and Demarai Gray were the two other signings made by Everton.
Everton’s most valuable players in the squad are Richarlison, Jordan Pickford, Moise Kean and Donny van de Beek.
9. Aston Villa – €433.50m
The Villans have been active in the transfer market since their return to Premier League football in 2019. Club owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have since accelerated their market strategy.
Aston Villa made four significant signings worth €130.50m. The club have so far made games but has fallen short of expectations after starting like a house on fire.
Highly rated Danny Ings left Southampton, bolstering Aston Villa’s forward line. And Philippe Coutinho’s loan switch from Barcelona has made much difference.
10. Wolverhampton Wanderers – €352.00m
Wolverhampton Wanderers is one of the least spenders in the Premier League. The Wanderers made seven signings worth under €35.00m.
In a replacement move for Rui Patricio, Wolves brought his compatriot José Sá from Olympiacos for €8.00m. And former Angers FC left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri for €11.10m.
11. West Ham United – €348.75m
West Ham United, led by David Moyes, has made significant gains in the Premier League.
West Ham splashed €35.00m on Kurt Zouma following his decision to accept a new challenge amid calls for regular playing time. The club also has some of the most valuable Premier League players, including Declan Rice €75.00m, Tomas Soucek €45.00m, and Jarrod Bowen €35.00m.
12. Newcastle United – €290.90m
Newcastle United became a force following the new takeover by Public Investment Fund, RB Sports & Media and PCP Capital Partners.
Before the new takeover, Newcastle was battling to remain in the top flight, with a lack of competition forcing the team into a downward spiral.

13. Leeds United – €288.00m
Leeds United have maintained its Premier League status despite its approach to the transfer market. However, they have been active.
Leeds signed top players like Daniel James from Manchester and Jack Harrison from Man City. Others are Junior Firpo from Barcelona and goalkeeper Kristoffer Claesson.
