This is the first Disney game not to be published by Disney Interactive Studios since its shutdown in May 2016 and also the first game developed by Avalanche Software after the Warner Bros.
It was released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One since on June 13, 2017, in North America. In Europe and Australia, it was released on July 14, 2017, and in Japan on July 20, 2017.
