Set up Promoted Pins
You’ll need a business account to create Promoted Pins. The amount you pay will depend on the budget and spend limits that you set for your campaigns.
To begin running Promoted Pins, go to Ads Manager at ads.pinterest.com. The first time you access Ads Manager, you’ll be asked to select your country. This will determine your billing currency and you won’t be able to edit this later.
Promoted Pin requirements
Before promoting your Pins, make sure they meet these requirements:
- Saved to your own business profile
- Saved to public boards
- Have destination URLs
- Don’t have link shorteners in the destination URL or description
- Aren’t third party videos or GIFs
- Follow Pinterest Ad Standards
Pinterest recommend using a 2:3 aspect ratio, or 1000 x 1500 pixels. Pins that exceed a 2:4.2 width-height ratio will be truncated in people’s feeds. That means people will only see part of your Pin, rather than the whole thing
