iQOO 9 Pro comes with February security patch, bug fixes
The iQOO 9 Pro began its global journey in India and is already receiving its first software update. It comes with firmware version PD2172BF_EX_220.127.116.11.W30.V000L1 and requires a download of 428MB.
The new build bumps up the Android security patch level on the iQOO 9 Pro to February 1, 2022 and optimizes the smartphone’s compatibility with Bluetooth devices and network adaptability in certain regions. The firmware also comes with some bug fixes. You can check out the screenshots below for the complete changelog.
Note that this update is seeding in India for the iQOO 9 Pro with model designation I2022. The smartphone will go on sale in the country starting March 2, so you will likely get an update prompt once you are done with the setup.
The iQOO 9 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and has two memory options in India – 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB, priced at INR64,990 ($865/€770) and INR69,990 ($930/€825), respectively.
iQOO 9 Pro’s Legend version
The iQOO 9 Pro’s global model runs Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box instead of OriginOS like its Chinese counterpart but shares the rest of its specs, meaning you get a 6.78″ QHD+ 120Hz LTPO 2.0 curved AMOLED display, in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, 50MP triple camera, and 4,700 mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone also supports reverse wireless charging.
In addition to the iQOO 9 Pro, iQOO also introduced the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 SE in India yesterday. But it’s worth mentioning that the vanilla model in India is different from what you get in China. You can read our iQOO 9 series global announcement coverage here for more details.
