The Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are 2019 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The games are the first installments in the eighth generation of the Pokémon video game series and the second in the series, following Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!
It was released on a home game console. The game was teased at E3 2017 and later announced in February 2019. So far it has received two downloadable content expansion packs through an expansion pass with The Isle of Armor.
The game is about the journey of a young Pokémon trainer aiming to become the Pokémon Champion, this time in the new Galar region, which is based in the United Kingdom. Now your main objective as the player is to dethrone the Pokémon League Champion, Leon, in a tournament that various other Gym Leaders and rivals also take part in.
As you are doing that, you will also need to deal with a Team Yell and a nefarious conspiracy within the League. The Sword and Shield introduce 81 new Pokémon alongside 13 regional forms of pre-existing Pokémon. You got the Dynamaxing, which increases the size of Pokémon under certain conditions. There is also the Gigantamaxing, which additionally changes the form of certain Pokémon; and the Wild Area, which is a large, open-world area with a camera that contains co-op raid battles.
The two-game has some amazing features that will keep you glued to your phone screen while playing it.
The Pokemon Black & White game is one of the best games ever released and probably the best Pokemon game so far. The game’s graphics look fantastic, and it seems as if they have been improved compared to Diamond and Pearl. I especially like how they have made Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, and Giratina look like they did in their first appearance. There are more new Pokemon than in previous games, which makes this a more exciting game.
Black and White is the most successful Pokemon handheld game. It’s the 3rd highest-grossing video game of all time, behind Wii Sports and Brain Age. Pokemon benefited from a decades-long advance in technology, the global growth of free-to-play games on cell phones, demographics that favor Pokemon’s target audience, and Nintendo’s $34 million initial advertising buy.
