The PFA has announced influential and noteworthy figures as the players’ Player Of The Year 2022 in men’s and women’s football.
The Professional Football Association (PFA) in an award ceremony which was held Thursday, June 9, 2022, announced the Players’ Player Of The Year 2022 for the men’s and women’s football league in the UK.
Mohamed Salah was recognized for his immense contribution to his side Liverpool in the 2021/2022 season as he was named the Players’ Player Of The Year 2022. Salah had been an integral part of Liverpool’s quadruple race last season. He also scored a total of 23 goals for Liverpool in the Premier League to win the golden boot alongside Son Heung-min.
Samantha Kerr of Chelsea was also named the Women’s players’ Player Of The Year 2022 as the goal-scoring machine and was an integral player in the title retention of domestic trophies by Chelsea under the leadership of Emma Hayes. Samantha Kerr and the ladies in Blue retained the Women’s Super League title alongside the FA Cup to further solidify their dominance domestically. The Australian is also the highest goal scorer of all time for Australia for both the men’s and the women’s teams.
